200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course

co-led by Danielle Snoddy and Ashley Baker Haselton

Our Teacher Training Course provides an opportunity to awaken and/or deepen your yoga practice, meet old and new friends, and to be a part of the Shoals Yoga community which is growing each day. The best part of all is learning that everything we need is already within us and how the practices can lead us into accessing our gifts and beauty from the inside out. The experience provides a great way to find long lasting happiness, peace and the ability to share the yogic lifestyle with others.On this page, you will find our 2017 schedule, curriculum, prerequisites, required materials, and course fee information.2017 WEEKEND SCHEDULE:

  • January 20-22:  Fri-Sun 9-6
  • February 17-19
  • March 17-19
  • April 21-23
  • May 19-21
  • June 9-11
  • June 23-25 (Guest teacher Lalita Devi)

*There will also be a requirement to attend 1 class per week, 1 hour of service per week, 1 hour of self study per week, and observation hours.

**All weekends meet Friday 6-9pm and Sat-Sun 9a-6pm unless otherwise noted

CURRICULUM

The goal of this training program is to guide and foster the learning and growth of inspiring yoga teachers who are able to source wisdom from their own practice and personal discipline in imparting the yoga teachings and experience to others. Our weekend modules include meditation sessions, yoga classes, lectures, chanting, and service to the community.

PREREQUISITES

A high degree of self-motivation is required for all aspects of the course. A basic knowledge of yoga postures and philosophy is helpful but not essential. A sincere desire to learn and openness to the teachings of yoga is required. The practice and especially the teaching of yoga demand a high degree of self-discipline and purity. To ensure the success of the program, participants are required to attend all spiritual activities, meditation sessions, lectures and asana classes.

COURSE FEE

$2,708 paid by January 13, 2017

$2,508 paid by November 11, 2016

*Six month payment plan of $400 per month with a $500 deposit (total of $2,908)
