Gray Bear Spring Retreat 2015

unnamed

Close your eyes, and imagine the season of SPRING with all of your senses… Breathe it in…The smells, feelings, tastes, sounds, and sights… crisp mornings, hot coffee/tea curled up in a blanket on the porch reading a book, fresh bread baking, talks around the fire, contemplating life while swaying in a hammock, endless views of dense forest, beautiful sunrises, quiet walks, fresh air, starry nights, silence, stillness, peace, laughter and JOY… (deep sigh)

This season calls your innate creativity to awaken and make itself known, just as a seedling pushes through the thawing soil past roots and rocks toward the light. We begin our journey in the spring because it heralds your initiation and rebirth into a whole new you.

The spring exhales the intoxicating fragrance of radical possibility…
• Who do you want to be now?
• How do you want to live?
• What's ready to come to life inside of you?

This March we invite you to take a journey with us to Gray Bear Retreat Center to begin again. Just like green leaves emerging from barren branches, let us bloom, fertile and full, with renewed spirit. Let us engage and harness that energy to activate our deepest potential.

“Like roots finding water, we always wind up moving towards what sustains us.” –Mark Nepo

Nestled in the rolling forest of the beautiful West Tennessee hills, Gray Bear Holistic Retreat Center is a pause along your path, fulfilling the ideal environment for health, relaxation, and yoga. The richly warm, rustic retreat reveals the empirical healing of nature. Pure air commands the awareness of breath. Pure water reflects the image of serenity. Stone hearths with roaring fires, and long twilight walks will complete the richness found in the blending of nature and yoga. It is a healing space to learn, grow, restore and renew. They are dedicated to keeping the spirit of fun and inspiration alive. And you know how we love having fun and feeling alive!

MEET YOUR TEACHERS: All classes will be taught by Danielle Snoddy and Ashley Baker. Danielle and Ashley have been teaching together and facilitating the growth of the Shoals Yoga community since July 2010. They are fully committed to the healing and growth that a daily yoga and meditation practice provide. They believe in the importance of being in and with nature as a means to promote inner stillness and joyful living. Danielle is a calm and steady mother who shares her heart by teaching group and private yoga sessions, learning and playing with her three year old son, Zeppelin, leading retreats and teacher trainings. She is continually diving deeper into the intimacy of her own heart and soul through yoga, meditation, chanting, relationship, selfless service, and community. Ashley is an adventure seeking traveller and backpacker who shares her kind heart and love of life by leading yoga classes, retreats, soul touching chants, knowledge of nourishing foods, and love of her backyard homestead. Each day, she practices moving toward that which gives her joy, toward what fills her up and empowers her to give.
